Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support deployed U.S. Marine Corps units by providing network engineering, deployment planning, and operational IT support. This role supports mission-critical deployments and exercises by delivering technical expertise across networking, systems administration, information assurance, and contingency operations. The ideal candidate has experience working in deployed environments and can troubleshoot complex network issues while supporting military operations worldwide.

Full-time position supporting deployed U.S. Marine Corps operations worldwide. This role includes coordination of deployment activities, operational planning, hands-on technical support, and frequent interaction with forward-deployed military personnel and government stakeholders.

  • Provide technical support for deployed network environments, including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange systems.
  • Support network planning and execution activities for deployments, exercises, and contingency operations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, network infrastructure, and communications equipment.
  • Coordinate rapid resolution of network issues impacting deployed operations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed personnel.
  • Support the D-30 deployment process and operational readiness planning.
  • Identify required hardware and software to support mission requirements.
  • Coordinate deployment logistics, including foreign clearance requests, visas, transportation requirements, and import permits.
  • Conduct post-deployment reviews and document lessons learned and operational outcomes.
  • Manage accountability and return of reusable government equipment following deployments.
  • Work directly with government stakeholders to ensure successful execution of mission support requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting network operations, deployments, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and enterprise network technologies.
  • Experience supporting field operations, military exercises, or deployed environments preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel in support of CONUS and OCONUS deployment requirements.
  • Strong communication and customer support skills.

  • DoD 8570/8140 required (Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • OEM network support certification required (e.g., ).
  • Microsoft or Cisco operating system/application certifications preferred.

  • Active required.

  • Pay range: $65,000 - $70,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
