At CESO, a Software Engineering Manager leads multidisciplinary teams in the development of scalable, secure, and innovative solutions. This position is responsible for ensuring that enterprise systems and applications support both production and corporate objectives, while advancing the organization’s overall technology strategy., * Define and execute the strategic direction for all software engineering initiatives in alignment with business goals.

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth to deliver complex software solutions at scale
  • Lead software architecture, solution design, and integration of enterprise applications across business units.
  • Oversee project delivery, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to guide technology investment and resource allocation.
  • Support both production and corporate initiatives with scalable, high-impact digital solutions.
  • Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software or solutions development is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity is preferred.
  • Proven success leading teams in the delivery of enterprise-scale applications or AEC technology platforms.
  • Microsoft Azure Developer Associate certification is preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master, CSM certification is preferred.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, PMI-ACP certification is preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate certification is preferred.
  • Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert certification is preferred.
  • Technology Skills:
  • Modern software development methodologies
  • Application debugging and troubleshooting
  • Code review
  • Secure coding practices
  • Software documentation standards
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: .NET/C#, Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, REST APIs, or SQL

Actual pay is determined by several factors, including location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity. Our pay structures are benchmarked against industry and market data to stay competitive. Each offer is based on a full review of a candidate’s background, qualifications, and fit for the role. Below are the typical new hire pay ranges for this position based on location:

  • Akron, OH: $96,148 - $124,597
  • Columbus, OH: $101,489 - $131,519
  • Dayton, OH: $101,489 - $131,519
