Artificial Intelligence Identity and Access Management Backend Front End Software Development

Job description

Join Opal Security to build AI-native identity governance systems that scale with enterprise chaos. As a full-stack engineer, you will design and ship features from concept to production, solving complex IAM challenges for Fortune 500s. You will work closely with customers to architect secure, real-time control planes that empower rapid innovation without compromising security.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and shipping complex, end-to-end products across both frontend and backend in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong architectural thinking skills with the ability to thrive in undefined spaces and challenge requirements to find better technical outcomes.
  • A genuine curiosity for IAM, security, or infrastructure, coupled with a desire to engage directly with customers to solve their pain points.

About the company

Opal Security is a $59M funded leader in AI-native identity governance, backed by Greylock and Battery, providing intelligent access management for enterprise leaders like Databricks and Figma., San Francisco, USA

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join a hyper-growth team where 60% of the workforce joined since 2026, led by an elite executive team from Meta, Nutanix, and Palo Alto Networks.
  • Tackle the burgeoning ā€œidentity momentā€ by building the control plane for human, service, and AI agent identities used by industry leaders like Figma.
  • Influence the entire product lifecycle in an environment that prioritizes thoughtful engineering and creative problem-solving over high-velocity ticket completion.

What You Will Do

  • Own critical product areas end-to-end, from initial architectural design to shipping production-ready features across the full application stack.
  • Collaborate directly with security teams at high-growth startups and global enterprises to validate solutions and understand real-world infrastructure challenges.
  • Establish engineering patterns and write foundational code that multiplies team velocity and shapes how Opal Security scales its technical infrastructure., Ok, I’ll go first. I’m Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you’re great at and what you want from your career. Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support.

And I’m Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they’re looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack’s network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

  • Jack’s an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
  • Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack’s network.
  • If it’s a match and the company wants to meet you, they’ll make the intro. In the meantime, if you’d like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

We never post fake jobs

This isn’t a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack’s network.

Sometimes Jill’s clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can’t share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn’t much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we’re giving his services away for free.
