Job description
- You are part of the platform architects’ group and define the architecture of the Application Framework subsystem within the B. Braun digital platform, covering shared application capabilities, developer frameworks, and user experience foundations
- You analyze technologies and architectural approaches and provide recommendations for the long-term evolution of the application framework, design system, and software development ecosystem
- You serve as a trusted advisor and guide for product teams in transforming existing products and in building modular applications based on common platform standards, reusable components, and SDKs
- You define and govern the architecture of the Shell UI, application registration mechanisms, feature entitlement capabilities, and framework services that enable a consistent user experience across products
- You collaborate with experts from diverse domains and play a crucial role in shaping the digital application ecosystem of B. Braun products
- You provide mentorship and guidance to (junior) software developers and software architects, support the adoption of common frameworks, design standards, and best practices, and participate as a co-developer in project teams
- You collaborate closely with development teams to translate architectural concepts into flexible, scalable, robust implementations, guiding them during design, implementation, and review cycles
Requirements
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or several years of relevant professional experience in software architecture, application frameworks, and cloud-native platforms
- You have a strong background in modern web application architecture, including Design Systems, Web Components, Micro Frontends, SDK development, and cloud-based application platforms, ideally on Microsoft Azure
- You have experience designing scalable and reusable platform capabilities, including application frameworks, application lifecycle management, identity and access management, and feature entitlement concepts
- You have hands-on experience with Agile development processes (SCRUM) and architecture methodologies (e.g., DDD, software modelling, integration patterns, and secure-by-design principles)
- You would benefit from having experience working in regulated domains, e.g. the healthcare industry
Personal competencies
- You are proactive, pragmatic, and result-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- You are capable of balancing long-term platform strategy with practical implementation realities
- Your work ethic is collaborative; you thrive in multidisciplinary teams as well as virtual environments while fostering mutual support. You are an effective communicator who can align business stakeholders, designers, architects, and engineers around a shared vision
- You are self-motivated with a hands-on mentality
- You possess a passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow
- You stay productive, focused, and effective in critical situations and help guide teams towards clear solutions
- You communicate fluently in English; German language skills would be a plus

- A brand-new, modern office optimized for collaboration, featuring creative spaces and high-tech environments
- High quality of life in one of Germany’s most attractive cities
