Job description

Nexus Prop builds infrastructure for proprietary trading firms, including customer portals, CRM and administrative tools, trading technology, risk management, payments, education, fraud prevention, and third-party platform integrations., This developer will work across the application stack, supporting both customer-facing experiences and internal operational systems. The role combines product development, systems integration, troubleshooting, and production support.

You will collaborate directly with company leadership, quantitative developers, and operational stakeholders. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning meaningful features, solving complex technical problems, and working in a fast-moving product environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer-facing web and mobile experiences
  • Build and improve CRM, administrative, trading, risk, education, and account-management functionality
  • Design and maintain backend APIs, services, database models, and background workers
  • Integrate with trading platforms, payment providers, identity-verification services, communication tools, and other third-party systems
  • Diagnose and resolve application, data, integration, and production issues
  • Improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and security
  • Write database migrations and maintain data integrity across customer environments
  • Support AWS-based deployments and infrastructure
  • Build reusable, configurable features for dedicated customer deployments and white-label environments
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, release validation, and technical documentation
  • Help establish durable engineering practices as the team and customer base grow

Requirements

  • Professional full stack software development experience
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Experience with React and modern frontend development
  • Experience building Node.js APIs and backend services
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and containerized deployments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs, webhooks, and authentication systems
  • Ability to debug issues across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data layers
  • Strong judgment around security, permissions, customer data, and production changes

Experience with React Native or Expo, Terraform, ECS, financial technology, brokerage APIs, real-time data, payments, or trading systems is helpful but not required.
