Job description

As an IT Consultant, you’ll be providing technical support to employees. Whether it’s crawling under a desk to cable manage, configuring a firewall, or deploying 100+ computers, you’re ready for whatever the day brings. You’ll primarily be supporting Mac OS and Windows devices, and will facilitate IT shipments for onboarding and off boarding. You’ll also be collaborating with people at all levels - including business owners and C-level staff - and will be building strong client relationships.

This role is currently hybrid with 1 to 2 fixed days onsite at HQ and 1 to 3 days supporting clients at their offices. The expectation is to transition to fully onsite at HQ later this year when we move into our new office space.

Shift: 9:00AM-5:30PM EST, Monday-Friday

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the dedicated support technician on a variety of accounts/clients all in different industries and environments
  • Assist on IT project deployments (MDM rollouts, Network configurations, etc)
  • Configure and support Mac OS and Windows devices in office and environments
  • Manage physical assets such as inventory, cable management, and the general workspace
  • Manage and support identity platforms that govern application access such as Okta and Google Workspace
  • Develop and update standards, policies, and procedures as well as best practices documentation in line with compliance requirements
  • Help configure automations and tooling especially as it relates to on-boarding and off-boarding flows
  • Facilitate IT shipments such as on/off-boarding packages and equipment
  • Travel to client sites in NY on scheduled and emergency case-to-case basis
  • Perform ad-hoc and miscellaneous IT tasks

Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of experience in an IT focused role
  • Experience with Mac OS and Windows
  • Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills
  • Passion for IT as well as building relationships
  • Curious, self-starter, collaborative, and adaptable in an ever-changing field
  • Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in a computing related discipline, * Are you comfortable with the listed compensation range?
  • Do you have MSP, Start Up, or multi-account experience?
  • How many tickets did you typically handle per day, and how many clients or accounts were those tickets spread across?
  • Which environment are you most comfortable in: MacOS or Windows?
  • Which MDM tools do you have the most hands-on experience with? (e.g. Intune, Jamf, Kandji, etc)
  • Which IAM tools do you have the most hands-on experience with? (e.g. Okta, JumpCloud, Entra ID, etc)
  • Which SaaS tools do you have the most hands-on experience with? (e.g. Google Workspace, M365, Slack, Zoom, etc)
