Job description

As a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering, you will guide an impactful team of engineers specializing in modern healthcare solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to scale distributed microservices that seamlessly exchange clinical data. Responsibilities

  • Support and develop a collaborative team of software engineers to achieve goals.

  • Guide the design of cloud-native, distributed microservices using Kotlin Spring Boot and event-driven patterns.

  • Proficient experience guiding engineering teams and managing technical software delivery workflows.

  • Skilled background developing distributed backend systems running in modern cloud environments.

  • Hands-on familiarity with JVM-based languages like Kotlin or Java and cloud architectures.

  • Deep commitment to cultivating a cooperative, team-oriented environment focused on learning.

  • Strong track record utilizing automated CI/CD practices and collaborative version control tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, or Epic integrations.

  • Understanding of event-driven software architecture patterns utilizing Kafka or MongoDB tools.

  • Experience with blob storage management and orchestrating data flows at enterprise scale.

Benefits & conditions

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
