Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices to support and optimize enterprise packaged and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for configuring, integrating, enhancing, and maintaining business-critical applications while ensuring stability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and support teams to deliver innovative solutions that align technology capabilities with evolving business objectives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and influencing technical outcomes through strong engineering practices and strategic thinking.

This remote opportunity is open to individuals located in the United States .

Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office. The project hours of operations will be Monday - Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, Artech , which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

Develop deep expertise in packaged and SaaS applications, including configuration, customization, integration, and ongoing optimization to meet evolving business requirements.

Design, develop, and support solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices architectures.

Configure and maintain application features, perform release management activities, and ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.

Utilize APIs, integration frameworks, and low-code/no-code platforms to connect systems and streamline business processes.

Lead root cause analysis and complex troubleshooting efforts, driving resolution of production and application issues.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members by sharing best practices, knowledge, and application expertise.

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable application solutions.

Communicate technical risks, solution recommendations, and project updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Deliverables or Project Scope

Deliver reliable and scalable packaged/SaaS application enhancements and configurations that support business objectives.

Implement and maintain microservices-based integrations between enterprise applications and third-party platforms.

Support application upgrades, release deployments, feature rollouts, and environment management activities.

Produce technical documentation, solution designs, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and operational efficiency improvements.

Monitor application health, system performance, and integration effectiveness, recommending improvements where appropriate.

Drive resolution of critical incidents while minimizing business disruption and improving service reliability., This is a contractor role administered through a third-party payroll supplier. The supplier will determine compensation, benefits, and applicable employment policies. The contractor will not be eligible for employee benefits from Accenture.

The supplier will ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws including ADA, FMLA, and local ordinances.

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer Artech , and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.

As required by law, below you’ll find the reasonable range of compensation Artech expects to pay for this role as set forth below.

We anticipate this contractor role will be posted until 8/28/2026.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum 3 years of experience developing and supporting applications using Java/J2EE technologies.

Minimum 3 years of experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.

Minimum 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Microservices-based architectures.

Experience integrating enterprise applications using RESTful APIs and web services.

Experience supporting packaged or SaaS applications in a production environment.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies.

Experience with low-code platforms such as Power Platform, ServiceNow, or similar technologies.

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative delivery methodologies.

Experience leading technical initiatives and coordinating cross-functional teams.
