Now Hiring: Database Engineer Oakbrook Terrace, IL | Salary: $89,000 - $114,000 Build, Optimize, and Secure Enterprise Data Systems Are you a skilled Database Engineer with experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud technologies? We’re seeking a driven data professional to support critical enterprise applications, optimize database performance, and develop scalable data solutions in a fast-paced environment., * Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.

  • Create and optimize T-SQL code, database objects, and data models.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure database availability, reliability, and security.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data transformation processes using Azure technologies.
  • Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Partner with application development, infrastructure, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Execute database deployments, upgrades, and change management activities in accordance with SLAs.
  • Implement database security controls and support compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL Server database administration and development.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Automation, or related Azure services.
  • Strong expertise in T-SQL, performance tuning, replication, and database optimization.
  • Experience building and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, GitHub, data modeling, and cloud-based database environments.
  • Experience with tools such as SSMS, Visual Studio, SQL Profiler, and Azure data platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Availability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
