Job description

  • Leading a team of developers to deliver software for Cat Robotics
  • Gathering requirements and scoping deliverables
  • Communicating requirements and managing performance of partner teams developing other aspects of complex autonomy projects
  • Designing system architectures for interfacing autonomy middleware to a variety of applications
  • Managing I/O requirements for machine control hardware and other autonomy-related devices

Requirements

  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
  • Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of ā€œbig pictureā€ thinking and planning

Top candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in an accredited Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related degree
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables
  • Skilled at programming in C++ System Engineering experience in automotive or heavy machinery industries
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals

  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.
  • This position may require up to 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $208,770.00
