Job description

The Software Engineering role will engage closely with multiple departments and stakeholders across Live Oak to develop and support our next generation banking platforms. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Engineer to sit at the intersection of marketing and engineering - someone who can build, automate, and optimize the technical systems that power our marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with marketing, analytics, and product teams to design tracking infrastructure, build landing pages and campaign tooling, automate workflows, and ensure our marketing stack runs cleanly and reliably.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing code but is equally comfortable talking to marketers about campaign goals, conversion funnels, and attribution.

What You’ll Do at Live Oak

  • Build and maintain marketing infrastructure, including landing pages, tracking pixels, tag management, and campaign automation tools
  • Implement and maintain analytics and attribution systems, ensuring accurate, reliable data capture
  • Develop custom scripts and integrations to connect marketing platforms via APIs
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into technical specifications and working solutions
  • Optimize site performance, SEO technical health, and page speed for marketing properties
  • Set up and maintain A/B testing and personalization frameworks
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies across marketing and analytics tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure marketing tooling aligns with broader technical standards and security practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a role combining marketing technology and software engineering (e.g., Marketing Engineer, MarTech Engineer, Growth Engineer, or similar)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with HTML/CSS
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, Celebrus, pixels, GA4, Google Analytics, GA4, Segment, Mixpanel
  • Exposure to Salesforce
  • Hands-on experience with tag management systems and analytics platforms
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs (CRM, email marketing, advertising platforms, CMS)
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web performance optimization
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and experimentation frameworks
  • Experience in SQL for querying and analyzing marketing data
  • Strong communication skills - able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience on related projects, such as:
  • Building or maintaining marketing landing pages or microsites
  • Implementing conversion tracking and attribution pipelines
  • Automating lead routing or lifecycle marketing workflows
  • Migrating or integrating marketing platforms

  • Paid sick time, The base pay range for this position is $113,080.00 - $154,200.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
