Job description
Help keep our community connected. Frankfort Plant Board is seeking an experienced Telecom Network Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and strengthen the technology behind our telecom services. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform advanced Headend maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize system outages.
- Apply advanced IT networking knowledge to resolve faults across Passive Optical Network (PON), RF, IP, and digital video networks.
- Install and integrate new technology in support of department projects and goals.
- Analyze, develop, design, and maintain test documentation and tools used to validate product and system performance.
- Initiate and evaluate system and network performance tests, interpret technical information, and redirect efforts when needed.
- Work independently, take appropriate action with minimal supervision, and proactively prevent errors or identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of related experience.
- Six months of related management or project management experience.
- Additional related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
