Job description

The Senior Technical Lead in this role is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects related to Tableau and SQL. They will lead a team of technical professionals, ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of Tableau solutions. The primary objectives include optimizing Tableau performance, designing effective data visualization solutions, and managing SQL databases efficiently., 1. Lead a team of technical professionals to develop, test, and implement tableau dashboards and reports.

  1. Ensure the tableau solutions meet the business requirements and adhere to best practices in data visualization.
  2. Optimize tableau performance by identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  3. Design and develop sql queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data extraction and manipulation.
  4. Manage sql databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights through tableau visualizations.
  6. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in tableau and sql to recommend enhancements and improvements.

Convert Tableau reports and dashboards into Looker. Utilize migration accelerators and automation frameworks. Recreate Tableau calculations, filters, prompts, parameters, and drill paths. Develop LookML required to support migrated reports. Resolve migration exceptions not handled by automation. Perform technical validation of migrated reports. Support defect fixes identified during SIT/UAT. Promote reports through Dev, QA, and Production environments.

Track migration throughput and completion metrics.

  1. Strong sql skills with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  2. Experience in optimizing tableau performance and troubleshooting technical issues.
  3. Knowledge of database management principles and experience in sql database administration.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and provide valuable insights.
  5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  6. Ability to lead a team effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

Other Requirements 1.Tableau Desktop Certified Professional is preferred.
