Job description
Looking for an I.T. pro to join our small, agile team in Elkhart & Bristol, IN. You’ll handle everything from end-user support to advanced infrastructure.
This is an on-premises role on a small, agile I.T. team. You’ll be part of supporting multiple companies and have real ownership over the work you’re handed. The Ideal candidate is someone we can hand a problem and who can create plans and proposals for leadership and end-user acceptance.
What you’ll do:
Front-line help desk support: tickets, calls, new user setup, day-to-day troubleshooting
Hands-on infrastructure: cabling, network termination, server redundancy
Help lead our move from physical servers to virtual and cloud-based systems
Manage a mixed Windows/Apple environment (Intune or similar MDM experience a big plus), We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled I.T. Systems Specialist to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems that drive operational excellence across our organization. Your expertise in system architecture, infrastructure management, and software solutions will be essential in ensuring our technology environment is robust, secure, and scalable. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT landscape., * Develop and optimize system architecture designs to support business needs, including server, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Manage and configure enterprise systems such as Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, and Azure cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and oversee system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core IT services to maintain seamless user access and security protocols.
- Automate routine tasks through scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Monitor system performance using tools for load balancing, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation.
- Support software deployment, configuration management, and troubleshooting for enterprise applications including Pegasystems, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and virtualization platforms such as VMware.
- Collaborate within an Agile development environment utilizing tools like Jenkins and Git for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Maintain information security standards by managing firewalls, VPNs, encryption protocols, and conducting security audits.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for hardware and software issues across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and macOS.

- Strong background in solution architecture design for complex IT environments involving virtualization (VMware), cloud platforms (Azure), and containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with RAID controllers for storage management and server hardware configuration.
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design principles, RESTful APIs, and API management practices.
- Expertise in database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL scripting, PL/SQL for Oracle databases, NoSQL solutions like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP), VPN setup/configuration, load balancing techniques, and computer networking fundamentals.
- Experience supporting Active Directory management alongside Windows Server administration; familiarity with UNIX/Linux system tuning is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently across operating systems-Windows Server environments especially-and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes aligned with Agile methodologies for software implementation projects.
- Demonstrated skills in system design that incorporate security best practices for information security compliance.
