Job description

Join Made as a founding engineer to transform a proven prototype into a scalable MVP. You’ll build the technical foundation for a platform that connects generative AI design with a distributed micro-factory network. This role offers high autonomy to solve structural failures in fashion while working directly alongside experienced founders., * Opportunity to solve a $1.7T global industry problem by replacing slow, wasteful supply chains with a real-time, AI-driven manufacturing alternative.

  • Founding team access and high ownership with 0.5-1.5% equity in a pre-seed startup founded by veterans in fashion, climate tech, and sustainable manufacturing.
  • Unique technical challenge bridging the digital and physical worlds, working with generative AI, computational design, and a distributed micro-factory network.

What You Will Do

  • Architect and develop full-stack features for the ā€œMade OSā€ platform, taking the existing working demo to a production-ready MVP.
  • Implement and optimize generative AI workflows and modular product engineering tools to enable instant, custom garment design for creators and brands.
  • Collaborate directly with the founding team to define the technical roadmap, prioritize features, and establish the company’s engineering culture and standards.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of full-stack engineering experience with a strong background in building production systems, modern APIs, and distributed cloud architectures.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in generative AI, computational geometry, or 3D creative tooling such as WebGL, WebGPU, or CAD systems.
  • High autonomy and a builder’s mindset, comfortable moving fast in an ambiguous startup environment to own features from conception through to deployment.

About the company

Made is a pre-seed fashion-tech startup building an AI-powered operating system to replace the $1.7T apparel industry’s broken supply chain with on-demand, zero-waste manufacturing., Ok, I’ll go first. I’m Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you’re great at and what you want from your career. Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support.

And I’m Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they’re looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack’s network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

  • Jack’s an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
  • Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack’s network.
  • If it’s a match and the company wants to meet you, they’ll make the intro. In the meantime, if you’d like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

We never post fake jobs

This isn’t a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack’s network.

Sometimes Jill’s clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can’t share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn’t much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we’re giving his services away for free.
