Datacenter Engineer L2

Break-Fix Support:

• Visually inspect devices and assess equipment status
• Perform loop-back testing and circuit verification
• Re-seat or replace components and cables
• Remove AC/DC power from equipment when required
• Clean equipment, connectors, and Fiber optics
• Connect test sets or test routers for troubleshooting
• Install or replace modular components, SFPs, and GBICs
• Troubleshoot hardware issues on network devices
• Rack and de-rack equipment
• Perform inventory management, labelling, and documentation
• Support planned maintenance and circuit migrations
• Dispatch equipment for repair when necessary

Provisioning:

• Install cables and optics for new circuits
• Reconnect, disconnect, or replace existing circuits
• Test Fiber and copper cabling

Deployment:

• Cable Management
• Northbound Cabling (Fiber, Copper, and Power)
• Rack / Stack / Jack activities
• Installation support for PDUs, Network Switches, and related equipment
• E-Waste handling and site clean-up activities

• Data Center or Field Service experience
• Hardware Break-Fix troubleshooting
• Fiber and Copper Cabling experience
• Rack & Stack experience
• Experience with routers, switches, servers, and network equipment
• Knowledge of SFPs, GBICs, and circuit testing
• Strong documentation and inventory management skills
