Job description
Piper Companies is looking to fill the role of for a Cloud and Technology company located in Reston, VA. The will be responsible for securing compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines, assist in the creation and manage of System Security Plans (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestone (PO&AM) documentation, as well as assisting with the accreditation process of the systems
- Build, deploy, maintain, and support secure mission-critical infrastructure across classified and highly regulated data center environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and Unix systems, virtualization platforms (VMware), and web, email, database, desktop, and thin-client technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design, implement, and sustain secure computing environments used for operational and government-focused workloads.
- Manage infrastructure supporting sensitive and regulated data, ensuring compliance with requirements related to NISPOM, ICD, export control regulations, and classified information handling.
- Develop, maintain, and support security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other compliance artifacts.
- Assist with system accreditation efforts, security assessments, risk remediation activities, and ongoing compliance monitoring to support secure operational environments.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) and ability to work in the U.S., with experience supporting secure government and classified environments.
- Hands-on experience with DIACAP, NISPOM, ICD, and related compliance frameworks, including system accreditation, security documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong network engineering and administration skills, including configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, VMware vSphere, and mixed Windows/Linux enterprise environments.
- Experience with vulnerability management, system patching, remediation activities, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications include DoD 8570 certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SSCP, GSLC, or equivalent), experience with Splunk or centralized logging platforms, McAfee ePO, COMSEC and encryption technologies, cloud administration (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Jira administration.
