Requirements

3-10 years backend/distributed systems experience (ideally 5-8)
Shipped & maintained production systems at scale
Strong in concurrency, race conditions, async patterns
Proficient in Python; experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP, Terraform
Background in big tech or VC-backed startup
Multiple years handling complex distributed systems

Nice-to-haves:

Marketplace/auction/billing/exchange systems experience
Full-stack capabilities with backend focus

Avoid:

Prototype/MVP-only builders (no production maintenance)
Single-domain specialists unwilling to work across stack
Multiple short stints (<2 years per role
