Job description
Dalcom Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support a team focused on mission-critical research, development, systems engineering, and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army., * Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs to meet user and mission needs.
- Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain software infrastructure, APIs, and data models to enable interoperability and seamless information exchange.
- Write modular, scalable, and platform-agnostic code in accordance with MOSA design strategies and open standards such as ISA.
- Integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and define performance requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Apply modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) and participate in configuration and change management processes.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and expertise to assist project teams with product integration and compliance with data standards.
- Maintain databases and support the full software development lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and release management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting is highly desirable.
- Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification preferred for advanced levels.
- Experience with configuration management, change management, and product release processes is a plus.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities.
