Job description

As a member of the Infrastructure Team, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration and operational support of enterprise infrastructure platforms. The infrastructure includes Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 suite, Azure, Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, disaster recovery and the overall network infrastructure. Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for maintaining patch management systems, monitoring and daily maintenance of the physical and virtual infrastructure. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for participating in team planning, development and implementation of networking systems. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for documentation of systems, components, maintenance and support of on-premise and cloud-based systems., Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The individual employed in this position will be required to:

  • Provide support and maintenance of the network environment and security platforms
  • Monitor the infrastructure and respond to issues and problems
  • Proactively recommend and implement processes improvements
  • Work closely with developers and consultants in assessing needs and supporting goals
  • Responsible for maintenance and support of servers, hosts and virtual machines
  • Provide off-hours support for the network environment, customers and employees when required
  • Implement solutions designed by senior engineers and architects
  • Resolve infrastructure incidents and problems
  • Perform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Participate in technology projects
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Escalate complex issues
  • Work within established standards
  • Execute approved designs, The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.

  • Collaborates closely with Infrastructure teammates, developers, consultants, and cross-functional partners
  • Adapts to changing priorities and participates in continuous improvement efforts

  • Ability to multitask, * A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree
  • Technical experience with 3-5 years of experience in network technology environments
  • Experience working with Office 365, Azure, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Hyper-V and Exchange Server
  • Knowledge of internet connectivity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, high availability and patch management
