We have an exciting opportunity for a supporting one of our premier programs within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business unit. As part of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) organization, your experience with test planning, procedure development, debugging system functions and interfaces, and building test environments will be put to good use. You will work closely with teams of integration and customers to deliver advanced ground system solutions. The work is on-site in Richardson, TX.

  • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary engineering team to deliver industry-leading ground system solutions
  • Perform system integration and test activities as part of an Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during software and hardware integration in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to support system verification and validation
  • Troubleshoot and debug system-level issues to ensure reliable system performance and mission readiness
  • Contribute to Agile software development activities within a collaborative, cross-functional program environment

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting systems integration and testing for software products in an Agile development environment, including regression testing, test scripting, and test automation
  • Experience developing and executing automated tests, as well as troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems and applications
  • Experience working in Linux (Red Hat) environments and developing scripts using Python and/or Perl
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance after your start date

  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment
  • Experience supporting satellite ground system development or operations
  • Experience supporting mission management ground systems, space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, or related mission domains
  • Experience working in Agile development environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, and/or Python, with familiarity working in Linux operating systems and cloud-based environments

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
