Job description

Within our “Corporate Services” platform and the “Enterprise Services” value stream you will work in the agile product team “Corporate Stock Valuation”. The product team is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as inventories represent 30% of our total balance sheet.

  • Migration of stock valuation from Teradata to Google Cloud (BigQuery) and further development and optimization of the solution within GCP
  • Development of financial simulations for major business incidents
  • Continuous improvement of these solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and support team members
  • Partner with Product Owners and Finance/Accounting stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable solutions
  • Cross-functional collaboration at the operational level to solve technical problems and refine working methods to continuously improve development processes

Requirements

  • A degree in IT or business administration, technical or equivalent education/experience
  • Experience in an engineering/technology role, ideally in agile product environments using DevOps methods and continuous delivery practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), with a focus on optimizing customer value
  • In-depth experience with BigQuery SQL and GCP services, especially Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools, version control (Git), and testing is mandatory
  • Knowledge and management of data migration and integration projects from Teradata to BigQuery is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Python/Java/Perl and Dataform is desirable
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with peers, technical teams, and business stakeholders
  • You are proactive, open, and a strong team player
  • Fluent in English & German, * Young environment, where not everything is written in stone, and where you are expected to contribute and co-create the culture of the Tech Hub and international collaboration model
