Job description
As the Domain architect for the Finance and Risk departments you are part of the Enterprise Architecture team of Nationale-Nederlanden Bank. In this role you ensure that our strategy is translated into future proof solutions. What you are going to do As part of Technology and Operations, you will continue to develop and align the architecture for the Finance and Risk domains. Your work requires a clear vision of our IT landscape and how it supports our Finance and Risk processes as well as the needs of the business domains. Therefore, understanding our business is also a key aspect of your role. For this purpose, you will collaborate with the department heads, subject matter experts and product owners. You will also work closely with your colleagues in the bank architecture community. Together, you will secure seamless integration with the product domains to enable highly automated and efficient processes. In addition, you will:
- Design and maintain the technology architecture for the departments
- Assess and manage impact of our strategic change programs on the Finance and Risk application landscape
- Create technology roadmaps and ensure that they are aligned with the organizational goals and objectives
- Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is integrated and cohesive
- Ensure that the architecture complies with industry standards and best practices
- Conduct research on available and emerging technologies and recommend ways to leverage them to improve the company’s systems and processes, Who you will work with As Domain architect you are part of the NN Bank Technology and Operations department that among other things, ensures the overarching architecture of NN Bank. Our architecture community within NN bank consists of the Enterprise Architect and several domain- and solution architects. The community has a close working relation with the NN Group architecture community. Together with our Enterprise Architect you will translate our NN Bank strategy / tech vision into our technical transition architecture for the future. And of course you inspire our tech community within NN Bank. You will be involved in creating various solutions within the current (and new) Risk and Finance architecture, bringing Technology and business together to achieve the optimal result. Any questions? Requirements
You are challenged by driving development of fit-for-purpose, efficient architectures across a wide range of operational and reporting processes in highly-regulated environments. Harnessing your communication skills, you know how to convey your vision and inspire and convince colleagues and vendors to deliver the best solution for our internal customers and external stakeholders. Never losing sight of the bigger picture, you are keen to collaborate to achieve our objectives. In addition, you have:
- Proven experience as a Domain Architect or a similar role in Retail Banking
- More than 5 years’ experience in either the Finance or Risk domain within Banking.
- As a domain architect you are experienced in architecture approaches from several angles (business processes, software, middleware integration, delivery optimalisation, multi-cloud environments, security, infrastructure)
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and Archimate
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions for IFRS 9, IRRBB and/or CRR
- Ability to work collaboratively with other architects and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A good command of both Dutch and English

- Salary between €7,602 and €10,136 based on a 36-hour work week, depending on your knowledge and experience
- 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
