Job description

We are transforming how our organisation uses data. As a Senior Data Engineer, you won’t just be maintaining pipelines-you will be the bridge between complex data ecosystems and real-world customer outcomes. You’ll drive cloud transformation, automate manual processes, and build streaming data pipelines using a modern cloud stack (Snowflake, AWS, Python, SQL).

  • Architect & Build: Design high-quality, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and AWS (S3, Glue, metadata services).
  • Innovate Streaming: Develop streaming data ingestion and transformation solutions aligned with our digital-first streaming strategy.
  • Automate Everything: Eliminate manual pipeline stages through advanced orchestration and test-driven development.
  • Optimize & Protect: Ensure rock-solid security, data governance, and platform cost efficiency without sacrificing pipeline speed.
  • Upskill & Collaborate: Champion modern engineering practices, collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Modern Data Stack: Strong hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT solutions with Snowflake or similar modern cloud data warehouses.
  • AWS Cloud Expertise: Good working knowledge of AWS services, specifically S3, AWS Glue, and cloud security best practices.
  • Core Languages: Fluency in SQL and Python, with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
  • Pipeline Automation: Proven experience building automated, heavily tested, and well-monitored data pipelines.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear solutions for business stakeholders., * AWS & Azure Cloud Architecture
