Job description
As Lead Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering scalable software solutions while providing day-to-day guidance and support to fellow developers.
This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll work closely with technical and business stakeholders, balancing hands-on coding responsibilities with leadership, planning, and mentoring activities.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, champion best practices, and contribute directly to the ongoing evolution of the company’s technology landscape.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and mentoring a team of developers, supporting their growth and development
- Designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software applications
- Developing front-end functionality using React, JavaScript, and CSS
- Building and maintaining back-end APIs using C#
- Delivering cloud-native solutions within a Microsoft Azure environment
- Managing infrastructure through Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Designing, optimising, and maintaining SQL databases
- Integrating with third-party APIs and external systems
- Conducting code reviews and promoting development best practices
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and supporting delivery teams
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to align technical solutions with organisational objectives
- Managing priorities, workload distribution, and project delivery timelines
- Supporting the efficient use of cloud resources and monitoring platform performance
Requirements
- Commercial experience leading or mentoring software development teams
- Strong development experience using C# and .NET
- Front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Strong SQL database development and optimisation skills
- Experience integrating APIs and third-party services
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
