Job description

London UK (hybrid/onsite)Cititec are working with a commodities trading business that is rebuilding its quantitative technology capability. They are looking for an experienced Quant Developer / Quant Engineer to play a key role in designing, building and enhancing the firm’s pricing, risk and quantitative infrastructure.This position will sit within the technology function, working closely with quantitative researchers, traders and technology teams to deliver robust, scalable platforms that underpin the firm’s trading activities.The RoleYou’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the quantitative infrastructure that supports pricing, valuation, risk and market data across the trading business.Typical responsibilities include: Designing and developing scalable pricing and risk platforms for commodity trading Building production-grade quantitative libraries and analytics Developing frameworks that support valuation, risk calculations and market data processing Working closely with

Requirements

trading, quantitative and technology teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions Improving existing quantitative infrastructure with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability Supporting the evolution of the firm’s overall quantitative technology architecture Contributing to software engineering best practices, testing and code quality across the platformWhat We’re Looking For Strong software engineering skills with excellent coding ability (typically Python, C++, C# or similar) Experience building pricing, risk or quantitative platforms within commodities or financial markets A solid understanding of derivatives pricing, valuation or quantitative analytics Experience developing production systems rather than purely research models Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering standards and scalable system design Experience working alongside traders, quantitative analysts and technology teams A pragmatic approach to solving business problems through technology Commodity markets experience (power, gas, LNG, oil, environmental products or broader commodities) would be highly advantageous.Technical Experience Python, C++, C# or Java Pricing libraries and quantitative frameworks Risk engines and valuation platforms Market data systems Cloud technologies Distributed computing SQL and time-series databases CI/CD and modern software engineering practices
