Job description

Solu is seeking a Staining Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop staining procedures in close partnership with assay development teams. You will create software supplements to install these procedures, manage the underlying database elements required to support them within our applications, and ensure deliverables are completed on time. This position requires a commitment to high-quality results and a "Quality First Time" mindset in a fast-paced environment., * Design, develop, optimize, and maintain software solutions for diagnostic applications.

  • Develop software supplements to support staining procedures and manage associated database elements.
  • Collaborate with assay development and cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions.
  • Coordinate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure software development complies with medical software regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform software testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions while meeting project timelines.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another Engineering discipline required. Candidates with a background in Life Sciences (Biology or Chemistry) will also be considered.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with scripting languages and SQL.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software for medical devices or other regulated environments.
