Job description

Let Informed Recruitment help you to achieve your potential with an exciting opportunity for a BI & Data Engineer to assist an organisation on their data journey with a Fabric implementation. As a specialist provider of resource to the Property & Associated Technology markets, we are delighted to be partnering with a social enterprise offering you the opportunity to make a difference at the centre of modern environment championing continual improvement. The role is offered on an outside of IR35 contract basis, initial 2 months with scope to run.

The purpose of your role is power decision with data by designing and developing high-impact reporting that empowers teams with accurate and meaningful insights to drive strategic goals. Your day-to-day activities will include influencing how data is used by working with teams across the organisation; Implementing MS Fabric, Development, support and enhancement of EDAP on Microsoft Fabric; Design and build scalable data pipelines and integrations; Set engineering standards and best practices; Mentor and upskill the BI team in Fabric, Azure, & Power BI; Work with stakeholders to deliver robust, business-focused data solutions; Developing Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic modelling; Writing SQL scripts to interrogate data; Building data models; Data validation and documentation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial Business Intelligence reporting and/or Data Engineering.
  • Azure & MS Fabric
  • Data Ingestion
  • Commercial experience using Power BI to develop reports, dashboards and semantic modelling
  • SQL Scripting

Nice to Have / Not Essential

  • RDBMS systems, such as Oracle or SQL Server

  • Wider appreciation of Microsoft BI tools, such as SSRS, SSIS, and/or SSAS
  • Data Warehouses
  • Web analysis tools such as Google Analytics and web tracking tools.

  • Power Apps
  • R, Python

  • Any relevant certification
