Job Description(SC Cleared) Infrastructure Deployment Engineer - Ripponden (Onsite) - Up to £75,000Are you an Infrastructure Deployment Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in secure, mission-critical environments?We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join a highly skilled technical team delivering secure infrastructure and software capabilities for projects that directly support the UK’s national security. You’ll work alongside architects and technical consultants to design, deploy and support solutions across long-term programmes where quality, security and innovation are paramount.This is an opportunity to work on genuinely meaningful projects, deploying modern infrastructure into highly secure, air-gapped environments where your work will have real-world impact.What you’ll be doingDesigning, building and deploying infrastructure into secure Linux and Windows environments.Deploying and configuring applications using Kubernetes, OpenShift or Quadlet.Developing deployment automation using Python and Bash.Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and software deployment issues.Designing secure solutions that protect confidentiality, integrity and availability.Working closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.Producing technical documentation and presenting designs during technical reviews.Reviewing infrastructure designs and ensuring solutions meet security and compliance requirements.What we’re looking forYou’ll ideally have experience with:Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar container orchestration platforms.Python and Bash scripting.Linux administration (Windows experience also beneficial).Deploying into secure or air-gapped environments.Networking fundamentals including firewalls and secure communications.Infrastructure troubleshooting and iterative development.Designing secure infrastructure solutions from documented requirements.Communicating technical concepts to both engineers and stakeholders.Desirable experience includes:Ansible or Terraform.Network device configuration.Vulnerability management tools such as Nessus.Secure hosting platforms and privacy-focused infrastructure.Security RequirementsDue to the nature of the work, you must be eligible to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and hold British nationality.
