The role involves building cloud ready services that process complex spatial data, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security while supporting business critical mapping and location intelligence capabilities that positively impact global communities. 3.Experience: 9to12Yrs 4.Required Skills: 5.Nice to have skills: 6.Technology: -Not Applicable 7.Shift: Day 8.Responsibilities: - Design and develop high performance Java based geospatial services that process complex spatial datasets to support enterprise mapping and location intelligence solutions for multiple business domains in a hybrid work environment. - Implement modular microservices using Java Springboot that expose secure and resilient APIs for geospatial data access transformation and analytics while ensuring consistency with organizational patterns and standards. - Build and optimize cloud friendly APIs that integrate geospatial processing workflows with cloud native services to enable scalable spatial analysis and near real time decision making for business stakeholders. - Collaborate with product and architecture teams to translate geospatial functional requirements into detailed technical designs focusing on robustness maintainability and long term extensibility of the solution. - Integrate external and internal geospatial data sources into unified Java based services ensuring accurate data modeling efficient indexing and optimized query performance for spatial operations. - Define and implement automated testing strategies for geospatial microservices including unit integration and contract tests to ensure reliability and predictable behavior for all deployed APIs. - Optimize performance of geospatial algorithms and services by profiling Java code tuning spatial queries and refining data structures to achieve low latency responses and high throughput under production loads. - Ensure security and compliance of geospatial APIs by applying authentication authorization and data protection practices aligned with enterprise policies and industry regulations for sensitive location data. - Provide technical guidance to peers on best practices in Java microservices and geospatial processing helping teams adopt consistent coding standards and reusable components across projects. - Coordinate with operations teams to deploy monitor and troubleshoot geospatial microservices in hybrid environments using observability tools and metrics to maintain high availability and stability. - Document technical designs API contracts and geospatial data flows in a clear and structured manner to support future maintenance onboarding and knowledge sharing across distributed teams. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging geospatial frameworks cloud APIs and Java libraries and recommending enhancements that provide business value and societal impact. - Engage with data and analytics stakeholders to shape geospatial solutions that improve resource planning urban services and environmental monitoring thereby supporting the organizations broader purpose in society. -Qualifications - Demonstrate advanced proficiency in core Java and Java Springboot with extensive experience building production grade microservices and APIs over a minimum of nine years in software development. - Apply strong knowledge of REST based API design including request validation error handling and version management to deliver clear and dependable interfaces for geospatial consumers. - Use practical experience with cloud APIs from major providers to integrate geospatial services with managed databases messaging systems and storage platforms in secure and scalable ways. - Bring working knowledge of geospatial concepts and tools such as spatial indexing coordinate reference systems and map rendering frameworks to design effective location based solutions. - Employ solid understanding of hybrid deployment models and continuous integration practices to ensure smooth delivery of Java microservices across on premise and cloud infrastructures. - Leverage familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies and modern source control workflows as a nice to have capability that enhances reliability and operational efficiency. 9.Job Location: Primary:USNYNYOA02 New York, NY-550 W 34th St-COG Alternate:, 10.Job Type: 60CW00 Business Associate 11.Demand Requires Travel?: N 12.Certifications Required: NA 13.Work Model: Hybrid 14.Sub Contractor allowed: Y
