Job description

We are looking for a Linux Administrator with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining Linux servers, troubleshooting system issues, managing user accounts, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and security of Linux environments., * Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Rocky Linux).

  • Perform routine system administration tasks, including user and group management, file system management, and package installation.
  • Monitor system health, performance, disk usage, and server availability.
  • Troubleshoot Linux server, application, and network-related issues.
  • Apply security patches, operating system updates, and software upgrades.
  • Configure and manage SSH, NFS, Samba, DNS, DHCP, and other Linux services.
  • Perform backup and recovery activities.
  • Monitor logs and resolve system alerts.
  • Create and maintain shell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks.
  • Work with application, database, and infrastructure teams to support production environments.
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of Linux Administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or Rocky Linux.
  • Good understanding of Linux commands, file systems, permissions, and process management.
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, FTP, HTTP).
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Understanding of backup and recovery processes.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and Linux hardening.
  • Experience using Git is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+ certification is a plus., * Experience supporting production Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
