Job description

eClerx is seeking a DevX/Platform Engineer to join our team to work on a project focused on modernizing the CI/CD landscape. The successful candidate will be tasked with building out GitHub Actions CI pipelines and supporting the transition to Octopus Deploy for continuous deployment. This is an execution-focused role: the CI/CD design is already defined, and the engineer’s job is to build it out, identify gaps through hands-on execution, and propose solutions., * Build and maintain CI pipeline templates in GitHub Actions (YAML-based)

  • Support deployment workflows via Octopus Deploy Orchestrator (with GitHub Actions as a secondary deployment path)
  • Partner with application development teams to troubleshoot and answer pipeline-related questions
  • Collaborate with an embedded DevOps team member on infrastructure-adjacent questions
  • Apply critical thinking during execution to surface gaps in the CI/CD approach and recommend fixes

Requirements

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience building CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, BuildKite, or similar)
  • Proven experience with YAML and Python
  • Conceptual understanding of Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and databases (no hands-on cluster/infrastructure administration required)
  • Software engineering background with some exposure to DevOps/platform engineering, or vice versa
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Octopus Deploy
  • Prior experience in a Java-based environment
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Terraform or infrastructure-as-code exposure
