Job description
As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, automation, deployment, and support of cloud-based infrastructure and application platforms, focusing primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enable infrastructure automation, build and maintain container platforms, and establish efficient continuous delivery pipelines. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and supporting robust cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform.
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources.
- Creating automation and tooling solutions using Python to streamline cloud operations and deployment processes.
- Building, implementing, and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Deploying, managing, and supporting containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud platforms, deployment processes, and automation workflows.
- Collaborating closely with application, security, and operations teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of customer environments.
- Documenting technical configurations, development standards, and operational processes for efficient knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Proven hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform services and architectures, including deploying and managing cloud resources.
- Strong programming skills in Python for developing automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Solid expertise in infrastructure provisioning, management, and automation using Terraform.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically utilizing GitHub Actions for automation.
- In-depth familiarity with container technologies, including building and managing Docker containers.
- Significant experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes-based environments.
- Sound understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, enabling effective collaboration and thorough technical record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, or DevOps are a plus.
