Job description

  • Operational support for VMware environment as applicable to workstation support and security remediation
  • Operational support of Horizon VDI infrastructure

Workstation Infrastructure

  • Support for Windows workstation security remediation and patch management via SCCM
  • Support for application patching / security package deployment
  • Patch management research and remediation for workstations (Laptops, Desktops), virtual desktops
  • Automation of mundane tasks via Powershell and Power Query where applicable for workstation support
  • Work with the IT Support team when tickets/issues are assigned
  • Work directly with the users to schedule appointments for workstation maintenance

Soft Skills

  • Coordinate, schedule, track and remediate security issues with the users
  • Security solution research based on active vulnerabilities and implementation of software updates and patches

Requirements

Focal Technologies: Microsoft SCCM/MECM, scripting (Powershell and Power Query), Microsoft Operating Systems, Virtualization Vmware a plus

A global bank is seeking a Workstation System Engineer. The Workstation System Engineer will join the team as a VPM (Vulnerability and Patch Management) Workstation Engineer to assist with security vulnerabilities remediation, workstation infrastructure maintenance and support. The Workstation Systems Engineer (Vulnerability and Patch Management) should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial industry with a solid knowledge of core infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft SCCM/MECM, scripting (Powershell and Power Query), Microsoft Operating Systems, Virtualization VMware and Horizon (VDI)), and will poses excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills, * 5 +years experience in overall IT

  • Proficient in using Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Powershell, Expert in Windows Workstation OS management
  • Working experience in financial industry is a plus
