Job description

Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Mid-level Engineer Analyst to support a new initiative focused on moving a client’s existing software and applications to a new cloud-based environment (Microsoft Azure)., * The work involves reviewing what software is currently in use, helping set up and configure the new environment, and establishing clear processes for managing it going forward.

  • Once the new environment is up and running, this person will also be responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance of the new environment.

You Will:

  • Conduct discovery of software, applications, systems, and networks using automated scanning/discovery/validation tools (e.g., Spectr, GhostCrew, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or equivalent).
  • Query and extract asset data from source systems (e.g., Active Directory, SCCM/Endpoint Manager, ServiceNow CMDB).
  • Perform gap analysis comparing discovered assets against existing documentation/baselines, flagging vulnerabilities, non-compliant configurations, and redundant/duplicate assets.
  • Support publication of the baseline inventory and participate in continuous validation cycles.
  • Assist in executing the Operating Model phase once inventory work is complete, supporting environment build-out, migration, and transition activities under senior direction.
  • Support the Intelligence Integration phase following completion of the Operating Model work, assisting with mapping and documentation of the bi-directional intelligence-sharing model.
