Test Automation Engineer (AI, SAAS)

Purpose: Our Client is seeking a Test Automation Engineer who will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks across our applications and next-generation platforms. This individual will work closely with Development, QA, Product and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery by designing robust automated testing solutions for a SAAS application and Autonomous Agents. This will reduce manual testing effort and enable faster and more reliable delivery across the organization, * Strong hands-on experience in Playwright Automation

• Build automated test scripts using JavaScript or AI
• Claude usage expected and encouraged
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Develop Functional ,regression automated test suites
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Work closely with developers and QA to define test strategies and requirements
• Identify, track, and report defects and automation issues
• Improve test coverage, stability, and execution efficiency
• Participate in release validation
• Document automation frameworks, test cases, and processes in Jira and Confluence
• Continuously improve automation practices and adopt modern testing tools and approaches

• 3+ years of experience in Test Automation Engineering or SDET role
• Experience using AI assistance
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright and WebDriver.io
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or Jenkins)
• Experience with cross-browser testing and parallel test execution
• Experience using Git for version control and collaboration
• Strong understanding of Page Object Model (POM) or modern test design patterns
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, attention to detail;
• Experience testing web applications and APIs
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software testing principles
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred)

Recommended Skills/Experience:

• Experience working in DevOps-driven and Agile environments
• Experience with test reporting, logging, and automation dashboards
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) for improving automation productivity
• Strong skills in debugging test failures and improving automation stability
• Experience in designing reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks
