Job description

We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer with strong hands-on Azure Synapse Analytics experience to develop and support enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive production experience building Synapse notebooks, pipelines, and metadata-driven data ingestion frameworks.

Requirements

6+ years of Data Engineering experience
2+ years of recent and strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (required)
Synapse Pipelines & Synapse Notebooks
Python, PySpark, SQL/T-SQL
Metadata-driven data pipelines
CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
Azure Container Apps
Azure Logic Apps
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Experience supporting production data platforms
Ability to work independently
Experience in regulated industries (Healthcare, Finance, Government, Utilities) preferred

Nice to Have

Azure Data Explorer (KQL)
Power BI
Bicep
Microsoft Azure certifications

Important Notes

Candidates must have recent, hands-on Azure Synapse production experience.
Candidates with primarily Databricks or Microsoft Fabric backgrounds will not be considered.
Must be local to Minneapolis, MN and able to work in a hybrid environment., * Azure Synapse Analytics: 3 years (Required)
