SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Full-Stack Java Developer (Junior) to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.

This position is hybrid-remote, 2 days on-site per week in Ashburn, VA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with team leads, developers and automation engineers to design, develop, and test applications that process inbound and outbound Cargo records and store the end state data in the database. Will support all aspects of the software development life cycle for model-driven, micro-service JEE architecture software applications.
  • Candidate will use modern software engineering tools including Eclipse, Git, Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and Atlassian Suites for design, development, and testing the software.
  • Work collaboratively within a large, Agile development team

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field with 2+ years of relevant technical experience
  • Java Micro Service Architecture frameworks such as Spring Boot
  • At least 2 years of Java/JEE design and software development experience including designing, developing, and documenting large-scale enterprise software systems
  • React
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS (or equivalent cloud providers)
  • SQL, JDBC
  • Unix, Linux
  • Kubernetes
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques
  • Scalable Web Applications
  • High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment

  • Master’s in Computer Science or related field

Customer Requirements

  • Clearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
  • Citizenship - Must be a US Citizen
  • Location - Required to be on-site in Ashburn, VA office 2 days per week and if a mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
