You’ll work alongside project managers, engineers, technicians, and customers to develop, configure, and commission control systems that bring HVAC and building systems together on a unified platform. This is an opportunity to work on a variety of projects while expanding your expertise with open-protocol building automation technologies and integrated building systems.

  • Configure controllers, databases, alarms, schedules, trends, and system graphics.
  • Create and maintain user-friendly operator interfaces and graphical front ends.
  • Integrate HVAC equipment and third-party systems using industry-standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
  • Support system startup, commissioning, and functional testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot programming, networking, and communication issues both remotely and in the field.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure systems operate according to design intent and customer requirements.
  • Assist with point-to-point verification, sequence validation, and system optimization.
  • Document programming changes, network architecture, and project deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and end users as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience programming and commissioning Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control sequences, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Alerton, Honeywell, Automated Logic, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP networking, and building control architectures.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, and sequence-of-operation documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and project teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Niagara N4 certification or equivalent BAS platform certifications.
  • Experience with graphics development and system integration projects.
  • Background supporting healthcare, education, commercial office, manufacturing, or industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with energy management strategies, trending, and system analytics.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive rates
  • 40 hours a week with the opportunity for overtime
  • Annual salary reviews with performance bonuses
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Health-care, life insurance, vision and dental insurance, long-term disability
