Technical Program Manager - GCP Modernization (Onsite - Coppell, TX OR San Francisco, CA) We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support a large-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) modernization program for our global retail client. This role will be embedded within the GCP Program Management Office (PMO) and aligned to a specific workstream, including Data Delivery, AI/ML Insights, Cross Program Integration, Infrastructure, or Google Transformation. The Technical Program Manager will lead end-to-end program execution, governance, agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, executive reporting, and continuous process improvement while partnering with internal teams, technology partners, and executive stakeholders. This is a 40-hour per week, 6-month contract (possible extension), an onsite role in Coppell, TX OR San Francisco, CA. This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered. Responsibilities: Own program governance, including SteerCo presentations, executive reporting, KPI scorecards, program health, and status reporting. Develop and maintain the program management plan, execution cadence, milestone gates, and program baselines. Drive sprint planning, release planning, quarterly planning, and Agile delivery across multiple workstreams. Track program dependencies, facilitate cross-program governance, and proactively manage delivery risks. Manage RAID logs, including risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, mitigation plans, and escalations. Track budgets, forecasts, resource actualization, and AOP alignment while identifying financial risks and variances. Coordinate resource planning and allocation across cross-functional teams and external partners. Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful program delivery. Oversee project quality, vendor performance, and continuous improvement of program management processes and methodologies. Ensure accountability for action items, deliverables, and program milestones through successful completion.
Requirements
6+ years of Technical Program Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology programs. Experience delivering Google Cloud Platform (GCP) modernization programs involving data, AI/ML, infrastructure, or cloud transformation. Strong Technical Operations experience, including infrastructure operations, platform provisioning, and IT operations. Experience managing multiple cross-functional workstreams, external vendors, and executive stakeholders. Strong knowledge of program governance, executive reporting, RAID management, dependency management, and Agile delivery. Experience with budget management, AOP planning, forecasting, and resource actualization. Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar program management tools, along with AI tools such as Claude or equivalent. Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: Experience with BigQuery, Looker, Spanner, Kong AI Gateway, GML frameworks, ML pipeline delivery, BI modernization, PMP/PgMP certification, managed services (MSP) environments.
