Job description
- Design, develop, and enhance custom business applications and system integrations
- Lead application projects from planning and design through deployment and ongoing support
- Establish and promote software development standards, coding best practices, and release processes
- Conduct code reviews to improve application quality, maintainability, and security
- Partner with developers, infrastructure, cybersecurity, project management, and business teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Support cloud-hosted applications and deployment pipelines within Microsoft Azure
- Build and maintain integrations between internal applications and third-party platforms
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement long-term technical solutions
- Create technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve development workflows through automation and process improvements
Requirements
A client of ours is seeking an experienced software professional to lead application development while helping establish best practices for the software development lifecycle across a growing technology organization. This role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys writing code, improving development processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure business applications.
If you have experience building enterprise applications, leading development efforts, and driving modern SDLC practices, we’d like to speak with you., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- Five or more years of experience developing enterprise software applications
- Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
- Experience coordinating projects across development, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders
- Proficiency with C#, .NET/.NET Core, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks
- Experience developing REST APIs, system integrations, and SQL-based applications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure application hosting and cloud services
- Familiarity with Git, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps practices
- Experience reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing secure coding practices
- Strong communication, organization, and technical leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience establishing or improving SDLC processes within an organization
- AI-assisted software development, code generation tools, or prompt engineering experience
- Background modernizing legacy .NET applications
- Experience supporting enterprise business systems in commercial real estate, financial services, or corporate environments
