Data Integration & Modernization Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Integration & Modernization Engineer to support a large-scale data modernization initiative. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining enterprise data processing infrastructure, migrating data ingestion solutions to cloud-native services, implementing automated data validation and anomaly detection, supporting business intelligence solutions, and assisting with the modernization of existing data systems. This role requires experience with cloud technologies, data integration, application modernization, and data quality initiatives. Primary Duties

• Improve and expand infrastructure supporting data processing, data flow, anomaly detection, notifications, and administrative services.
• Migrate existing data ingestion solutions to cloud-based platforms, including AWS SFTP with Amazon S3 and AWS API Gateway to object storage.
• Develop scalable, event-driven data processing solutions to support onboarding of new data sources.
• Implement inline data validation and anomaly detection to improve data quality and reduce processing bottlenecks.
• Maintain and enhance web-based data validation applications used for onboarding new data providers.
• Monitor production environments and communicate critical issues that could result in data corruption or data loss.
• Provide technical support for data visualization dashboards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates on modernization activities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and data flow diagrams.
• Perform project management activities in accordance with established project management standards.
• Comply with all applicable data security and confidentiality requirements.

• Experience supporting enterprise data modernization or data integration initiatives.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based data ingestion solutions.
• Experience with AWS services, including Amazon S3, AWS SFTP, and API Gateway.
• Experience developing scalable data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Experience implementing automated data validation and data quality solutions.
• Experience supporting business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and data flow diagrams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
