Requirements

Seeking a skilled Java Developer with 3-5 years of experience in backend development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Java 11, Spring Boot, and build tools like Maven/Gradle, along with practical exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot (GHCP). This role is suited for someone who can work independently on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality applications while contributing to architectural and technical decisions., * Core Java: Strong command of Java 11 features (streams, lambdas, Optional, var, etc.) and solid object-oriented design principles.

  • Framework experience: Proven experience building RESTful web services and microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Build tools: Practical experience with Maven or Gradle for dependency management, builds, and project structuring.
  • Cloud platforms: Working experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or similar); ability to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
  • AI-assisted development: Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot (GHCP) or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate development and improve code quality.
  • API development: Strong understanding of REST API design, documentation, testing (e.g., Postman), and integration with third-party services.
  • Database skills: Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2); ability to write optimized queries and understand indexing.
  • Version control: Proficient with Git, branching strategies, and command-line interfaces.
  • Testing & debugging: Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG), along with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Agile exposure: Solid experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaboration tools: Practical experience with JIRA and Confluence for task tracking, documentation, and team collaboration.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers as needed.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to independently troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and propose technical solutions.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).
