TELECOMMUTE Database Architect

We are seeking an experienced Database Architect to design, optimize, and support enterprise database solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database, experience working with or migrating data from DB2, hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and a proven track record of managing large-scale databases (~1 TB or more)., * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise database architecture.

• Work extensively with Oracle Database in high-volume production environments.
• Extract, migrate, and integrate data from IBM DB2 databases into Oracle or other target platforms.
• Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Optimize database performance, indexing, query execution, and storage strategies.
• Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Support ETL and data migration initiatives involving large datasets.
• Collaborate with application teams, business stakeholders, and data engineers to deliver scalable database solutions.

• Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration and Architecture.
• Experience working with IBM DB2 databases.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
• Experience handling large enterprise databases (1 TB+ data volume).
• Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with data migration, replication, and integration projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of database security and high-availability solutions.
• Experience in enterprise data architecture and reporting environments.

Nice to Have

• Cloud database experience (Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS).
• Experience with database automation and scripting.
