Job description

We are a premier provider of US business and consumer data, powering everything from enterprise-level analytics to real-time applications via our proprietary API and research platforms. We are looking for a Data-Centric Software Developer to bridge the gap between our massive data assets and the high-performance delivery systems our customers rely on.

In this role, you won’t just be writing code; you will be architecting the flow of billions of data points. You will oversee our ETL processes, optimize our database architecture, and manage the AWS environment that keeps our API and analysis platforms running at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect ETL Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain complex ETL workflows using Alteryx and custom scripts to ensure data freshness and accuracy across all platforms.
  • Optimize Database Performance: Manage and evolve our database architecture to support high-frequency API queries and large-scale data licensing exports.
  • Own the Cloud: Maintain and scale our AWS environment, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency for our research and analysis platforms.
  • Enable Integration: Work closely with the product team to develop and refine APIs that allow customers to build their own applications on top of our data.
  • Modernize Workflows: Identify opportunities to automate manual data cleansing and spatial grouping tasks to accelerate delivery times for our research division.

Requirements

  • The Data Expert: Strong experience with ETL tools, specifically Alteryx (experience with spatial objects and the Command Tool is a significant plus).
  • The Architect: Deep proficiency in SQL and experience designing scalable database schemas for business firmographics or consumer datasets.
  • The Cloud Navigator: Hands-on experience managing AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
  • The Developer: Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, or similar) to support API development and automation.
  • The Problem Solver: You understand the “why” behind the data. You don’t just move records; you ensure the integrity and usability of the information.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with MediaWiki Wikitext or building internal documentation libraries.
  • Familiarity with CRM integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot) or data enrichment workflows.
  • A background in software sales support or “Sales Engineering.”

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Benefits & conditions

  • 401(k)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid time off
