Storage & Data Protection Engineer (Assistant Vice President)

• Managing & Maintaining: Oversee enterprise storage and backup systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across a global infrastructure.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Actively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise storage and data protection environments, including proactive incident response and life cycle management of hardware and software.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams and vendors to implement new solutions, support business continuity, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards., * Operational Stability: Ensure the operational stability and resilience of the organisation’s enterprise storage and data protection infrastructure.
• Business Continuity: Play a critical role in supporting business continuity, disaster recovery, and secure data management across a global IT estate.
• Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders including infrastructure teams, application owners, IT operations, and external vendors.

• Expertise: Strong practical experience with enterprise storage and backup technologies (eg, NetApp, Dell PowerMax/PowerStore, Rubrik) in highly virtualized environments.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of networking, virtualization, and data centre operations, along with hands-on experience in managing hardware life cycles, patching, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Communication Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively across global teams and manage vendor relationships., * Experience: Proven experience with enterprise storage and backup technologies (NetApp, Dell PowerMax/PowerStore, Rubrik).
• Understanding: Solid grasp of networking, virtualization, and data centre operations.
• Hands-On Skills: Experience in managing hardware/software life cycles and patching schedules.
• Desirable Skills: Knowledge of Scripting or automation tools (eg, PowerShell, APIs) and familiarity with regulated, process-driven environments.
