Job description
The Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) leads the strategic planning, development, and execution of enterprise IAM initiatives to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant user authentication and authorization across the organization. This role oversees the design, implementation, integration, and ongoing maintenance of IAM technologies and processes, while partnering closely with IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational stakeholders to align identity solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
The Director is responsible for managing risks associated with identity and access vulnerabilities, driving continuous improvement of IAM tools and governance practices, and ensuring optimal system performance and user experience. This leader also provides oversight of IAM staff, vendor relationships, and emerging identity management trends to support a secure and scalable access management environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development and execution of enterprise IAM initiatives and roadmap.
- Oversee the design, deployment, integration, and maintenance of IAM systems and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions across enterprise IT infrastructure and business applications.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to identity, authentication, authorization, and access vulnerabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement of IAM tools, workflows, governance, and operational processes.
- Monitor IAM system performance, availability, and effectiveness.
- Manage vendor relationships and support evaluation of emerging IAM technologies and solutions.
- Mentor and develop IAM staff while fostering innovation and operational excellence.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, * 7+ years experience in identity and access management leadership
- Expertise in IAM system design, deployment, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and security policies
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships
- Experience driving continuous improvement of IAM tools and processes
