AI Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to lead the technical implementation of our most complex AI initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned AI professional who can architect sophisticated solutions, mentor other engineers, and drive technical excellence across our AI projects. You’ll be responsible for building advanced AI systems that transform how we practice law, from developing custom ML models to implementing enterprise-grade AI infrastructure. While the AI Engineer handles day-to-day implementations, you’ll tackle our most challenging technical problems and set the technical direction for AI development., * Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions for complex legal workflows using automations tools like n8n.

• Build advanced machine learning models for case outcome prediction, document classification, and legal research automation
• Architect conversational AI systems using modern platforms that enable natural, real-time voice interactions
• Develop custom AI architectures for problems where off-the-shelf solutions don’t exist
• Create AI-powered tools to enhance attorney productivity and decision-making
• Lead R&D efforts for emerging AI technologies in legal applications

Technical Implementation

• Lead the technical implementation of AI projects from concept to production
• Build robust data pipelines for training and deploying ML models
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for legal knowledge management
• Architect real-time voice AI systems with ultra-low latency for natural conversations
• Develop APIs and microservices to integrate AI capabilities across platforms
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of AI systems

Integration & Architecture

• Integrate AI solutions with existing legal tech stack, including Salesforce Litify
• Design technical architecture for AI systems that align with firm infrastructure
• Implement MLOps practices for model versioning, monitoring, and deployment
• Build secure, compliant AI solutions that meet legal industry standards

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the AI Engineer
• Lead code reviews and establish AI development best practices
• Make architectural decisions for complex AI systems
• Evaluate new AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies
• Create technical documentation and architectural blueprints
• Collaborate with CTO and Head of Legal Technology on AI strategy

Do you have experience in Technical solutions implementation?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Proficiency in building and deploying production ML systems

• Deep understanding of real-time AI architectures and streaming technologies
• Experience with cloud AI services Azure ML.
• Experience with modern data engineering tools and practices
• Knowledge of API development and microservices architecture

Professional Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Proven track record of delivering production AI solutions
• Experience architecting real-time AI systems with strict latency requirements
• Experience with the full ML lifecycle from data preparation to deployment
• Background in building scalable, enterprise-grade AI systems
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Self-motivated with strong project management skills, * Experience in the legal industry or legal tech
• Familiarity with Salesforce Litify platform
• Experience with LLMs and generative AI applications
• Experience with cutting-edge real-time conversational AI platforms
• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search
• Background in document intelligence and OCR technologies
• Experience with real-time AI systems and low-latency voice processing
• Understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI practices
• Experience with graph databases and knowledge graphs, * Associate (Preferred), * AI/ML Engineering: 3 years (Required)
