Job description

In this role, you will work on developing and maintaining software solutions that support engineering and manufacturing processes. You’ll build applications that integrate with CAD platforms, develop data solutions, and create Power BI reports and dashboards that help drive business decisions. You will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams while contributing to modernization and migration initiatives., Develop and maintain software applications and automation scripts that integrate with AutoCAD and Zuken E3 platforms.

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL database solutions.
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Build and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, JSON, and Excel.
  • Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Support software deployments, version upgrades, and post-release activities.
  • Participate in modernization initiatives, including migration from Excel VBA to .NET and from MS Access to SQL Server.
  • Ensure compliance with software validation and configuration management standards.
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Requirements

5+ years in software development.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft .NET technologies (VB.NET and/or C#).
  • Solid Python programming skills.
  • Ability to build Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports using Power Query and DAX.
  • Familiarity with integrating data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, JSON, and Excel.
  • Understanding of OAuth authentication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Advanced English level.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Familiarity with batch scripting.
  • Knowledge of CAD APIs, such as AutoCAD APIs or Zuken E3 SDK APIs.
  • Hands-on work with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Experience with Snowflake or another data warehouse platform.
  • Familiarity with web services (both client- and server-side).
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Sigma.
  • Understanding of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering concepts.
  • Background in migrating legacy applications, such as Excel VBA and MS Access.
