Job description
Are you ready to play a critical role in a dynamic, complex System of Systems (SoS) environment supporting national security? As a Software Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the analysis of performance, effectiveness, compatibility, and interoperability of advanced systems within a multi-level security framework. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government clients, engineers, and program managers, to drive high-impact decisions and solutions in mission-critical areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive System Performance: Analyze system capabilities, performance, and compatibility across a highly complex SoS environment.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with customers and teams to create an analytical framework to evaluate software system performance and ensure interoperability within secure environments.
- Plan & Execute: Develop and manage detailed project plans (POA&Ms), ensuring alignment with program milestones and goals.
- Test & Verify: Develop and review test scenarios, participate in test planning, and assess system readiness through test readiness reviews.
- Document & Report: Assist in creating technical documents, interim reports, and maintain an organized filing system for all critical project documentation., * Support government engineers in the development of required software documentation.
- Evaluate and ensure the completeness of software test programs and requirements.
- Develop and review detailed test scenarios and ensure they align with program needs.
- Participate in test planning working groups and readiness reviews.
- Maintain and verify technical documentation standards and compliance with test procedures.
- Support program management and systems engineering meetings and processes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience, with significant expertise in RF systems integration and testing.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with radar systems, RF sensors, anti-tamper technologies, sensor integration, modeling and simulation, and operations.
- Communication: Strong ability to create compelling briefings and technical reports; exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Security: Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy weapons systems acquisition, including programs requiring Special Access. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with classified programs (3+ years preferred).
- A combination of theoretical, engineering, managerial, and field experience is highly desirable.
